Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing

Experience the breakthrough of prenatal paternity testing, allowing the establishment of paternity during pregnancy. Our Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test, utilizing the highly accurate SNP microarray method, stands as the premier choice in the field. Notably, our test holds the distinction of being the first and only prenatal paternity test accredited by the AABB. With its non-invasive nature, this test ensures the complete safety of both the mother and the pregnancy, providing peace of mind throughout the process.

Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing

DETERMINE THE BIOLOGICAL FATHER OF AN UNBORN BABY USING MOTHER'S BLOOD SAMPLES
  • Can be used for peace of mind or legal purposes
  • Results in 5-10 working days once the samples reaches the lab
  • Accuracy:  min 99.9%
  • Price S$2200, not including the drawing mother’s blood samples

How does the Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test work?

In the course of pregnancy, the maternal blood carries fetal DNA, offering an opportunity for paternity determination. By sequencing and analyzing cell-free fetal DNA extracted from the maternal blood, we can establish paternity accurately. This non-invasive test merely necessitates a blood sample from the mother and swab samples from the alleged father, ensuring the safety of both the mother and the unborn child. In contrast, alternative prenatal DNA testing methods can be invasive and carry risks such as miscarriage and amniotic fluid leakage.

How many weeks pregnant do I need to be?

Our prenatal paternity test offers the convenience of early testing, with the ability to perform the test as early as 7 weeks into the pregnancy. However, to ensure conclusive results and avoid the need for a new blood sample, we recommend waiting until the 9th week. This timeframe ensures an adequate presence of free-floating fetal DNA in the mother’s blood.

In the event that a new sample needs to be collected, there is no additional fee from the laboratory for testing the new sample. However, The customer must pay the clinic for redrawing the mother’s blood and the shipping.

Limitations

  • A prenatal paternity test cannot be performed for a woman expecting twins or multiples
  • We cannot perform testing with two possible fathers who share a close biological relationship
