Relationship Tests

Relationship DNA tests are commonly utilized in cases where the alleged father is deceased, unavailable, or unwilling to participate in the test. Instead, relatives such as the alleged father's siblings, parents, or the child's siblings can provide samples for testing. We offer various relationship tests, including a sibling DNA testing, twin DNA testing, DNA testing for grandparents, a DNA test for aunt or uncle, and our maternity DNA test. These tests provide specific information based on the relationships being examined.

In cases where two individuals, whether male or female, who claim to be full or half siblings, wish to ascertain whether they share at least one biological parent, it is advisable to undergo a Sibling DNA test. This particular test analyzes the amount of common DNA shared between the two individuals and provides insights into the likelihood of them being full or half siblings.

Aunt/Uncle DNA tests assess the probability of a biological relationship between a child and an aunt or uncle.

Inheritance patterns indicate that a child acquires precisely half of their genetic material from their biological father, who, in turn, shares approximately half of his genes with his full sibling. Consequently, the child is expected to share about half of their paternal genes in common with the full sibling of their biological father. By analyzing the genetic matches, the laboratory computes the statistical likelihood of a biological connection between the alleged aunt/uncle and the child, as opposed to no relation at all.

A DNA test for grandparents assesses the probability of a biological relationship between a child and one or both of their grandparents.

This DNA test conclusively determines the nature of twinship, discerning whether twins are identical or fraternal, through the analysis of DNA samples from the individuals in question.

The Mitochondrial DNA test provides definitive evidence regarding the presence of a shared maternal ancestor, such as a mother, maternal grandmother, maternal great-grandmother, and so forth, among two or more individuals.

A Y-Chromosome Test, also known as Y-STR test, is employed to assist male relatives in determining whether they share a common paternal lineage. It can also be utilized when two males aim to confirm their shared biological fathership but are unable to undergo Paternity Testing.

DNA testing can be employed to verify various relationships, including the biological motherhood of an alleged mother towards her child or children.

The Genetic Reconstruction DNA test is conducted to establish the biological relationship between a child and direct biological relatives of an alleged father. This test can be utilized to determine paternity even when the alleged father is unavailable for testing.
